Emma Skeates, probably better known to you all as “The Menopausal Mayhem Mothers” on Facebook and Instagram is a blogger, best selling author and now (lord help us all) a film maker! Emma started writing about her experiences of being firstly a single mother then meeting her second husband, blending families all whilst going through a hysterectomy and hitting the menopause like a brick wall. In short, Emma did NOT make battling her way through the menopause look terribly elegant, but she certainly made it look very funny, ridiculous and in many cases very relatable. 

Through her books and her blogs she shares all the pitfalls of being a menopausal woman but she absolutely refuses to see it as a disease. Understanding that some of the symptoms can be debilitating, she has educated herself through the medical profession to navigate herself and others towards solutions and tries to find humour and laughter in all the bits that you CAN and SHOULD laugh about. In recent months, a large US film company has stumbled across one of her books and a film is being born based on Emma’s shenanigans with Amanda Abbington in the starring role along with many other well known actors. Emma will be talking to you all about “relationships” whilst managing the menopause – or NOT as in her case!
