Jane started her career in fitness aged 19 when she trained as a fitness instructor whilst doing her undergraduate studies. By the time she was 23 she had completed a Masters of Science in Sports Management. Her research paper looked specifically into how poorly women were, and still are, served when it comes to exercise. It was during this time that she learnt how women suffered from pelvic floor issues and how no one was working to enable women to move more freely, particularly after pregnancy and during peri/menopause.


Her passion to help women has led to a long career in media, health and fitness as a consultant, writer, content creator and TV presenter. She wrote ‘The Fat Burning Workout’ in 2004 and the Ultimate Guide to Pregnancy Fitness in 2013. As well as working as a consultant for many blue chip companies - Boots, Nike, BP, American Express, she has presented many shows and campaigns for Discovery Health, BBC & ITV. In 2011 she became The Fitness Expert to The Lorraine show & GMTV and continues to appear on the show, giving the audience her worldly advice on all things fitness.


With over 35 years of experience, Jane continues to teach classes via Jane Wake Studio. This is a virtual platform from which she teaches women all over the world in how to move with freedom and confidence via Bespoke Programmes, On Demand Channels and Live Classes.
